Maritime Cybersecurity Training Requirements
Cybersecurity training is required for personnel working aboard MTSA-regulated vessels and at maritime facilities under U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Phishing emails, ransomware, and compromised navigation systems can stop operations, put crews at risk, and disrupt global trade. Under 33 CFR §101.650(d)(1), all MTSA-regulated vessels and facilities must train personnel to:
